Hello and welcome!
I love words. Mostly written words. I love to write them and read them. A good book is a treasure. I have loved to read from the time I learned to recognize words, and as long as I can remember, I have loved to write.
After I discovered Harriett the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh in my elementary school library, I determined to follow Harriett’s lead and observe the world around me, without spying, of course! That is when I began putting words on paper and creating worlds and characters and events from my imagination.
Soon I was sharing stories with my friends and teachers. I received good grades on writing assignments and later became editor of my high school newspaper. I wanted to be a writer.
God had other plans for me. I taught high school English and science for 30 years first. Then I became a published author. Life is full.
One of my favorite things to do is camp or “glamp” (glamour camping) in my vintage camper. Miss Millie is my happy place where I can go to be alone, write, or watch DVDs. I belong to a ladies’ camping group and we have a wonderful time whenever we’re together.
