To say it felt like being on the red carpet is an understatement, or should I say, the black ink carpet? I’ve participated in only one live interview about my books, and that was back in 2011 when I did a phone interview for a local city public relations website. I also did a newspaper interview but it wasn’t live. This interview was about a half hour long!
Terry Thompson was great, though, and after I watched it I felt pretty good about it. My East Texas accent came through loud and clear, but I think I sounded more “teachery” than “hickish.” I am a writer—I can make up new words, right?
